The Little Changes can make all the difference

Some of the little changes to how you do business can make all the difference!

Do you have "SOP's" aka Standard Operating Procedures for your staff? 

It doesn't need to be a "Novel" with hundreds of pages for staff to read through; the SOP's become a burden to work with.  Clear concise documents that are easy to follow work wonders.  When the staff use a standard set of operating procedures, they arent reinventing the wheel each time they undertake a job. Think of the time that saves!  Time is money.

These have to be updated to keep up with business changes, but very straight forward.

 

Another small change on the Road

All businesses require stationary.  

Its really easy to just use who you "always have", but are you getting the best deal? If you have been trading for some time, you have information as to your spend, and what products that you frequently re-order - so you have data!  

With so many office suppliers out there - why not ask a few of the companies to tender for the business?  By doing this, you should see savings, and you are also guaranteeing to only buy from one supplier.  This benefits both parties, your business getting savings; the supplier knowing that they have secured a business for an agreed timeframe.  Its a win-win situation.
